New telecommunications infrastructure build company Cosira Communications, a subsidiary of Cosira Towers – a subsidiary of leading steel fabrication and construction solutions company, the Cosira Group, is offering turnkey services to the telecommunications industry, providing a complete solution, says Cosira Communications operations director David Grobler.
“Cosira Towers will continue to fabricate and manufacture angle iron lattice telecommunications towers, acting as the supply arm to Cosira Communications,” Grobler explains.
“Cosira Communications extends beyond manufacturing, focusing on turnkey installation services. These services include civil works, in-country set-ups, provision and installation of generators, erection of towers, fencing installation and shelter construction,” he explains.
Grobler adds that Cosira Towers and parent company the Cosira Group have leveraged their extensive resources, to effectively ensure a turnkey telecommunications solution for their customers, filling a gap in the market.
Cosira Communications has already secured a number of contracts in Africa. “The demand for telecommunications and transmission towers in Africa, particularly in southern Africa, has increased significantly. As the Cosira Group has been actively involved in African projects for 21 years, experienced and skilled personnel are able to tackle all major projects, even those in challenging contexts,” he adds.
Cosira Group CEO John da Silva notes that the company aims to be the market leader in the supply, installation and management of telecommunications towers. “We have targeted leading operators and OEM’s throughout the continent, as well as assisting with South Africa’s power generation expansion plans. Cosira Towers and Cosira Communications are well-positioned in this field, as part of one of the largest privately owned SMEIPP and Construction companies in Southern Africa. This positioning stems from existing steel fabrication and construction expertise, as well as having the back-up and support of the Group,” he adds.
“Notably, the establishment of Cosira Communications is aligned with the group’s philosophy of pioneering innovation, entrepreneurialism and premier service provision. By adding turnkey telecommunications services and solutions to our industry offering, the Cosira Group is yet again proactively ensuring our position as the foremost construction solutions group in Africa,” concludes da Silva.
